Greens and Blues, Daily Oil Painting by Tim Webster

"Greens and Blues"
Original Oil Painting on Canvas Panel
5" x 7"
November 18, 2010
By Tim Webster

Earlier today I went outback of my old house out in the country and painted this. This is one of my favorite plein air paintings that I've done yet. I love the style of plein air paintings and I'm slowly but surely learning the techniques. What I like most about this is one is the greens and blues, both very strong throughout the painting as well as the actual view. I hope you all have a pleasant day!

Detailed Birch Wood, Daily Oil Painting by Tim Webster

"Detailed Birch Wood"
Original Oil Painting on Canvas Panel

November 17, 2010
By Tim Webster

So in this painting I wanted to play around with my palette knife. Over the weekend my friend and I were talking about birch wood trees, I think she wanted to paint one...but I think I may have beat her to it, haha. This was a fun a little painting, only having done a few palette knife paintings, doing this one makes me want to do more in the future. Hope you all have a great day!

Little Choptank IV, Daily Oil Painting by Tim Webster

"Little Choptank IV"
Oil Painting on Canvas Panel
5" x 7"
October 26, 2010

One of my favorite places to go ever since I was a kid. I can remember being 12 years old waking up at 3am to go crabbing with my neighbor during summer break from school. I continued to do this until I was 18. I can definitely say I miss spending the majority of my days on the open waters of the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding rivers.

Road Home, Daily Oil Painting by Tim Webster

"Road Home"
Oil on Canvas
5" x 7"
October 5, 2010

During the summer months, there was quite a few storms that came up the Choptank River. This one in particular was pretty cool. The way the river changed colors because of the clouds overhead. The blueish sliver colors of the water is what attracted me to paint this photo I took over the summer.

First Dawn of Fall, Daily Oil Painting by Tim Webster

"First Dawn of Fall"
Oil on Canvas Panel
7" x 5"
October 1, 2010
By Tim Webster

The first dawn of autumn in Maryland started off somewhat clear and warm. I brought out my Nikon and snapped a few pictures to paint later in the week. This is the result of one picture that I took. I like how the sky looked. Normally it would be darker overhead towards the west. But because of the thin high clouds the lit them up in almost a cream color. If you're interested in this painting, it is currently available for purchase.
