Its been about a week since Ive done one of these small daily paintings, but that doesn't mean that Ive not been painting. While Christmas was here, us in the Mid-Atlantic Region received about 8-9 inches of snow. It was pretty awesome, being that the weather guys called for snow on Thursday, then no snow at all, to snow on Christmas Day. This oil painting right here is of a photo that I never really intended to take, though I thought "why not use it". As a gift for a certain someone for Christmas I made them a large only palette knife impressionism painting. It turned out awesome, and I figured why not try one in a much smaller format. This is the outcome of that idea. Hope you all enjoy it!

This prospective of today's painting in my favorite. I was out there for a few hours. But this time of the day, the clouds started rolling as the evening came. It always seems like when its a crystal clear day during winter, it tends to be really really cold. Ill be painting more for the Oxford series, keep your eyes peeled!

Thought I would do another plein air painting of the Potomac River. And once again I decided to focus on my brush strokes. I feel as if I'm getting better day by day.
